Lenovo Launches A10 an Android Powered Convertible Laptop










Lenovo is no new to laptops, but the Lenovo A10 is the first Android powered laptop for the company. The device is a 10.1 inch notebook with a rotatable touchscreen display.

The Lenovo A10 can be used as a laptop or tablet, it features a 10.1 inch HD display with a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels. The device runs on Android 4.2 and is powered by a 1.6 GHz quad-core Rockchip RK3188 Cortex-A9 processor. Lenovo A10 is packed with a 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage which is further expandable via micro SD, the company claims that it offers 9 hours of battery life with continuous video playback. The device sports a VGA webcam, two USB 2.0 ports and a HDMI port. 

With the recent explosive growth in Android-based, smart connected devices, customers are relying more on Android apps for both work and play. Lenovo’s A10 brings ultra-portability and dual-mode benefits to Android users at a reasonable price,” said Bai Peng, vice president and general manager, notebook business unit, Lenovo Business Group. “Thin and light, with multiple modes and user-inspired innovations for an outstanding user experience … the A10 is uniquely Lenovo.”
The press release says that the availability and pricing varies by region, however as per our sources the device might not be available in parts of US but will be sold in Europe and Asia regions. The pricing is said to start from 249 USD.

Lenovo Unveils a 5-Inch Smartphone Vibe X

Lenovo Unveiled two new products at IFA Berlin, which are dubbed for China launch in October,2013 and rest of the world except Europe to follow in December. A premium 5-inch phone – Lenovo Vibe X and a 7-inch HD display – Lenovo S5000 tablet. Both the devices run on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.

Keith Liu, director of launch marketing at Lenovo Business Group, outlined a plan that revolves around an October launch in China with the rest of the world following in Dec.

Lenovo at IFA announced, Lenovo Vibe X as the thinnest and lightest phones in the market, the phone is 6.9mm in thickness and weighs 121g. With the unveiling of Vibe X, Lenovo aims high-end smartphone market.

The Lenovo Vibe X features a 5-inch, 1,920-by-1,080 display made from scratch-resistant Corning Gorilla Glass 3 with 440 pixels per inch. It features a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera and 5-megapixel front-facing cam.

The Vibe X will run a 1.5GHz, quad-core MTK 6589T processor and Android 4.2. It has 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage.

“Lenovo continues to bring head-turning innovations to the PC Plus marketplace with the Lenovo Vibe X smartphone’s uncompromising hardware design, its rich display and memory-making camera technologies,” Wayne Chen, vice president and general manager of Lenovo’s mobile business unit, said in a statement.
