1. Ford EcoSport

Ford Ecosport is a compact and muscular SUV. There are 10 variants with 3 engine options- two petrol ( 1.0 litre and 1.5 litre) and a 1.5 litre diesel engine. The price of the Ecosport starts form Rs 5.9 lakh and goes upto Rs 9.4 lakh (Ex showroom). Theengine gives a mileage of 13kmpl to 16kmpl (petrol) and 16kmpl to 22.4kmpl (diesel).

2. Hyundai Grand i10

The new Grand i10 is available in two engine options – Petrol and Diesel. Powering the petrol variant is a 1.2 Kappa Dual VTVT Petrol engine produces 83PS at 6,000rpm and 2nd Gen 1.1 U2 CRDi Diesel engine makes 71PS of max power and 159Nm of peak torque. The fuel efficiency of the 2nd Gen 1.1 U2 CRDi Diesel is claimed to be 24Kmpl. The price of Hyundai Grand i10 start from Rs 4.29 lakh to Rs 6.41 lakh.

3. Maruti Suzuki Stingray

The Wagon R Stingray is a facelift of Wagon R and it is mated with 1.0-litre petrol engine with a manual transmission gear box which produce 67.1bhp and 90Nm of torque. It delivers a mileage of 17.08 kmpl in the city and 20.51 kmpl in Highway. The Wagon R price start from Rs 4.10 lakhs to 4.68 lakhs.

4. Honda Amaze

Honda Amaze is a powerful car in it’s class. It is mated with two engine 1.2 litre SOHC i-VTEC engine for petrol and 1.5 litre DOHC i-DTEC engine. The petrol engine produces 86.7Bhp and 109Nm of torque, the diesel engine produces 98.6Bhp and 200Nm of torque. The new 2103 Skoda Octavia will be launched in India on 3rd October 2013. Three engine options, a 1.4 liter TSi engine offering peak power of 140 PS and 250 Nm of torque which will be mated with a 6 speed manual gearbox. The second variant is a 1.8 liter TSi engine offering 177 Bhp peak power and 250 Nm torque which will be mated to a 7 speed auto DSG gearbox. The third variant of 2013 Skoda Octavia is a 2.0 TDi engine capable of 150 bhp peak power and 320 Nm peak torque. The Skoda Octavia is expected to launch at a price of Rs 12.5 lakh (ex-showroom).

Skoda will launch the new Octavia with three engine options, a 1.4 liter TSi engine offering peak power of 140 PS and 250 Nm of torque which will be mated with a 6 speed manual gearbox. The second variant is a 1.8 liter TSi engine offering 177 Bhp peak power and 250 Nm torque which will be mated to a 7 speed auto DSG gearbox. The third variant of 2013 Skoda Octavia is a 2.0 TDi engine capable of 150 bhp peak power and 320 Nm peak torque. This will be offered in two options, one mated to a 6 speed manual gearbox and the other mated to a 6 speed auto DSG transmission.

Safety features of the new 2013 Octavia include ABS, Lane Assistance, Fatigue detection System, Adaptive Cruise Control, 9 Airbags, Intelligent Light Assistant and Traffic Signal Recognition. The new Octavia also has a new Skoda logo which will be seen on all upcoming models while it will be the first Skoda to sport daytime running LED lights.
