Acer Launches Windows 8.1 Tablet: 'Acer Iconia W4


Acer has recently launched the Iconia W4, the tablet will start shipping in the US this month and will be available in two variants 32/64 GB, priced at $330/$380 respectively.
The tablet is powered by Intel’s Atom processor which is clocked at 1.8 GHz, the device features a 8 inch IPS display with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. The Acer Iconia W4 sports a 5 MP autofocus camera and a 2 MP front facing camera. The device is preloaded with Microsoft Office Home and Student 2013 for creating and editing Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint documents, out of the box. The tablet supports additional storage up to 32 GB via microSD card and features some connectivity options like Micro-USB, Micro-HDMI and microSD slot.

The Acer Iconia W4 is a successor to the Iconia W3 tablet which was launched last year, however, the  tablet runs Windows 8.1 which is Microsoft’s latest operating system for desktops, notebooks and tablets which is now already available. Windows 8.1 brings new updates like enhanced searching and sharing features with Internet Explorer 11 and brings back the Start button.
Pricing and availability for the Indian market is not yet available, but we will keep you informed with all the latest updates.

Lenovo Launches A10 an Android Powered Convertible Laptop










Lenovo is no new to laptops, but the Lenovo A10 is the first Android powered laptop for the company. The device is a 10.1 inch notebook with a rotatable touchscreen display.

The Lenovo A10 can be used as a laptop or tablet, it features a 10.1 inch HD display with a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels. The device runs on Android 4.2 and is powered by a 1.6 GHz quad-core Rockchip RK3188 Cortex-A9 processor. Lenovo A10 is packed with a 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage which is further expandable via micro SD, the company claims that it offers 9 hours of battery life with continuous video playback. The device sports a VGA webcam, two USB 2.0 ports and a HDMI port.

Why should they be required to switch and duplicate to use their laptop? Lenovo’s A10 brings ultra-portability and dual-mode benefits to Android users at a reasonable price,” said Bai Peng, vice president and general manager, notebook business unit, Lenovo Business Group. “Thin and light, with multiple modes and user-inspired innovations for an outstanding user experience … the A10 is uniquely Lenovo.”
The press release says that the availability and pricing varies by region, however as per our sources the device might not be available in parts of US but will be sold in Europe and Asia regions. The pricing is said to start from 249 USD.

Xolo has officially launched its first tablet, the Xolo Tab is priced at INR 13,499. The Tab(QC800) comes with a 8 inch IPS display with a resolution of 1280 x 768 pixels (160ppi). The tablet is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 8225Q processor paired with a 1GB of RAM and Adreno 203 GPU. The tablet includes 4GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 32GB via microSD card. The device comes with SIM support and voice-calling.

It has a 2 MP rear camera and a 0.3 MP front camera that can be used to make 3G video calls. It supports Wi-Fi and Bluetooth for connectivity options. The Xolo tab sports a 4,000 mAh battery. It will be available in white color, and will hit the stores by the end of this week.

Asus New Transformer Pad Coming September 4th

Asus is all set to launch the latest Transformer Pad on September 4. An Image posted on ASUS’s Facebook page, which suggests their plans to show a new tablet ‘Transformer Pad’ at the event.

The image posted by the company on Saturday shows a tablet with a prominent bezel, which says, “We Transform Your Mobility” and “4 Days to Go”. There are no other details of the product, but the 10-inch Transformer Pad tablet is likely to come with Nvidia Tegra 4 processor.

This product teasing strategy by brands has become a new trend now. Asus is posting some or the other image for an upcoming product on its facebook page, with the remaining days of the launch. Recently LG showed a ‘Just Right’ teaser video for its 8.3 inch G Pad.

The market has seen various 10-inch tablet in the past and we are not even betting on its future, Asus is building up some hype on new unseen features.
