Korean tech giant LG seems to be in a hurry, first the ‘Just Right’ Teaser video and now when everybody was expecting it to debut at IFA 2013, here comes the official release. LG on Sunday revealed full details about the 8.3-inch tablet which company will show off at this week’s IFA trade show in Berlin.
The LG G Pad tablet is the first 8-inch tablet to offer a Full HD display, the company said. It sports a 1,920-by-1,200 display with 273 pixels per inch. There’s a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera and a 1.3-megapixel front-facing device for video chat.
The G Pad runs a 1.7GHz, quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor and Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. There’s 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage.
The tablet comes with excellent innards besides a very beautiful and sleek body. It is rather very light and comes with a good 4600mAh battery.
LG says the G Pad is expected to roll out in North America, Europe, and Asia “as well as other regions” starting in Q4 2013, but is keeping quiet about pricing.
As we know everything about the device except the price, we will have to wait for the G Pad event at IFA on September 6, where it will be officially introduced.
